Converting Ms-works/word To Wps Office/word?

Hi. Last weekend, I set my mother on a WinXP laptop to use while she's waiting to buy a new computer. Earlier today, I called her, and she reported having problems opening her old MS-Works word processor in WPS Office. Is there a program that can convert MS-Works documents to WPS Office format?
