Hello, I have for the past year or so, used dmc poweramp to convert real files to wave. The older system was 11.5, they have now installed 12.1 on which I cannot convert.

I remember that the sound card on my old cp was createtive sound blaster and on my new dell(vistahomebasic] it is sigma tel high definutuib audio(codec]. Don't know a whole lot about this.

When I download a real file and try to convert it tells me that I don't not have direct show installed, yet with msgs with Illustrate they think it is installed.

Cannot play these files in wmp 11, so am wondering if anyone has used their site and has had similar problems.

Might mention that I had Real Alternative, ac3 filters and supposedly direct show installed.

Maybe there is a nother free software that someone has used that might work for me. I see one that is called "Audacity".

    Thanks

Hello Lev, thanks for your response. Have you used this converter? Does it supply a codec to convert real files to wave?

I looking at it now and it appears that it takes in excess of 3 hrs to d/l.

    Again Thanks!!
