Converting regions on dvd

Can anyone out there tell me how to copy and change the region code on Dvd disks? I would like to change the region code from 2 to 1. The end result is to be able to play the dvd copy on any dvd player in Canada.

 

This is one I use on my W98SE system. A friend also uses it.

Check out the fine print on whatever the latest version is. Have never bothered to check what the current version is.

Many Thanks for the reply to my query! However I need to know if I canconvert the dvd regions to play on my DVD player as well as my P.C.

 

Lots of DVD players have "hack" codes that may be buried in the manual or obtainable off the Internet. I suggest that you google quoting the make and model of your DVD and "hack" or "region code" or "forum" or similar. You will probably get relevant hits. Just out of curiousity, what is the make and model of your DVD player. Bazza
