I am in big trouble. My wife used movie maker to create a nice video for her parents and I burned it to a CD to get my .mwv. But, i use AVI2DVD to convert and I get this error. the system cannot find the path specified ($800700003).

If i can't get this converted so my in-laws can view it on their DVD Player my wife will kill me.

    Can anyone help?

The issue may be that your pc must be capable of dvd burning, not just basic cd burning. However if they have a pc, the disc should readily play thru windows media player. Someone else can perhaps advise you better than me. Good luck!

I know that vista can convert it with its newer version of movie maker.

But, have you tried XP's version of movie maker (assuming you have xp, that is. :) )

The best all in 1 program out there is "MPEG4 Direct Maker" It does everything!

You burned it onto a CD. So were you importing it from the CD or from somewhere on the computer ? Is it still on your computer ? The reason I ask is that I've had problems before with trying to import video directly off a CD into editing software (can't remember which software). Once I copied the file to the hard drive, it imported without a problem. Alternatively, could the problem be the format it is saved in ?

One possible solution (and apologies if I sound like an adobe advert) might be to download the free trial of Adobe Premiere Elements 3. The full version has a DVD authoring facillity, although I couldn't say if the trial version will actually burn DVDs. I downloaded the trial, but I didn't check if it would actually burn a DVD. With the full version, I had to activate it before the MPEG encoder would work. If you can find a copy of version 2, that's not bad. I've had some good results with it and once you find your way round it, you can customise the DVD menus. In fact, I prefer using version 2 to the latest one.

** Edit - I got Elements 2 off eBay last year. I've just had a look and there's one on there now. Nice and cheap as well ($44) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Adobe-Premier...ryZ99335QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD2VQQcmdZViewItem
