cookies

    My computer keeps switching off the accepting cookies tab and third party cookies tab I have to tick the boxes manually almost every time to be able for my machine to download web pages and stuff any ideas?:-o

    What version of windows? What browser? What security program is running?

    I have windows vista and mozilla and avg anti virus:confused

    I assume by mozilla you mean Firefox or are you running Seamonkey?
    What version of FF 2 or 3? With AVG the only stand alone antivirus they have is version 7.5 and support for that will end at the end of this month.

    If you run FF, do you have any addons installed? Sometimes these over ride settings.

    Once I have the full picture, I'll do a bit of searching.

    Hi I think I have the latest version of firefox I do have quite a few add ons.
    I have AVG 8.00. Thanks:)

    You have to help me here. Some addons do strange things.

    I have a reminder add on. I have a home button. I have fill out forms add on. I have a toggle to full screen mode. I have an open to hotmail button. Also a restart application. Further a stealth button to hide webtracks. A dictionary switch. Foxy proxy which is disabled. Opus macros button. Download themall. Video downloader or accelerator. Bookmarker and a restart button.:cool Thanks for your time

    That seems like the one that might be switching off accepting cookies.
    Disable that for awhile, do some searching and see if your cookie settings stick.

    Thanks - some addons can do "unusual" things to Firefox and you go crazy trying to figure out what is going on.
