Crazy straws, yep thats right, Crazy straws. while at wal-mart the other day, I saw these neon crazy straws and my imagination go's crazy too. what if I could bend these any shape I wanted. So for 88 cents it was worth a try. brought them home , they are very uv reactive. and with a short time 2-3 seconds in boiling water they become very flexible. I am afraid to let them stay in the water too long as they my colaps but after removing them from the boiling water they harden just as quick. so a little at a time I mold them in to a swirl shape ( thats as far as I have got, was so excited that it worked so well and easy. I wanted to write yall). (sorry no pics to lazy to set camera up). Mostly excited because of my question to you all. Is there any reason that I should not use these as wire guides (instead of traditional sleeving) Because working wires this way a person could make the wires go exactly where they wanted inside the pc not just hang there. I am thinking about , just molding straw as I would want wire to run then it should easy to run wire right through. any comments ??? will this work ?? would there be a problem with maby running two wires through 1 straw ? peace Whiterabbit1966

 

I don't see a problem with that. It shouldnt matter too much putting 2 or 3 cables into one straw (they should be insulated well anyway). Might be a bit annoying trying to get the molex power connector off and on though.

Seriously you can get the single wires out of the molex connectors if you are carefull, BUT once out they are not certain to reseat so they have to be checked. It does not matter on your PC how many power wires you can put into a straw just dont try it with the IDE cables

Otherwise cant wait to see the pics..
