Cool free FPS

I just found a really cool free FPS called WarRock which is very similar to Battlefield 2 with very good graphics, good physics, and lots of vehicles. www.warrock.net

 

Looks "cool" from screenies, but nothing works on the website in terms of download.

 

You have to make an account first b4 u download anything. After that the Download Game button becomes clickable and u can download it.

 

That's silly.

It doesn't tell you that, and when you click on >>Game Full Version Download, it comes up as "This page cannot be displayed".


Apart from that, the screenshots look promising.

Doh, The website is totaly broken with Firefox.

Only reason to register is to get into the game, you have ranks / name tags / money to spend on equipment, better weapons, etc... I actually enjoyed it. Oh yeah, and any bootleg email works, there is no verification or download location link or anything like that.

I'd love to know how Adrynalyne downloaded the installer without registering?

Maybe Apple users don't have to because they're special?

Second link in the list. http://warrockpatch.nefficient.com/kipawarrock/WarRockSetup.zip Unzip and run it. It goes through an updater and downloads the files needed. Its around 189mb or so. I figure with a 9Mbps connection, it was inconsequental in size. Did I mention I have my Windows machine running again? I miss games. Curse you MS!

This all assuumes that my machine continues to run, of course. I'm kind of ticked that I had to drop to 1gb of ram.

I had more pity for you when you were using Mac.

 

you can always just make another email address just for spam. believe me its worth it, its a great game. its got sort of a counterstrike/battlefield 2 feeling.
