is there a way to mount like a 80mm fan on top of my video card and cool down my memory or no?

What sort of card do you have? There are fans you can mount over your card's heat sink w an exhaust manifold if you don't mind the expense but I came across the "Poor Mans Card Cooler":

Pretty cool but you still want to consider inlet (draw) to the fan.

is there any way to mount like a blower and point it down at the memory? Or do i have to "ghetto" rig it?

ewww, do some wire management. there are coolers you can buy that go in a PCI slot and blow straight onto the video card.

lol thx splitter... make me feel even more bad... how do i arrange that crap anyway? i know what they are... im using them for other things... is there a way to mount it so it blows at the VGA memory?

well as for wire management
1.shove stuff into crevices
2.use wire ties
3.rounded Ide cables
4.if you ever buy a new psu there are some with modular cables that cna be removed from the psu.
can you post a pic of your whole case?

it doesn't look like you could do too much wire management without buying crap. most if you can get those unused psu connectors out of the way of the cpu fan taht ould help. they look kinda ugly but if tehya ren't in the way of any fans it isn't a big problem.

I respect your comment on Ghettoing your rig. That's a fine looking system. Is that bottm PCI slot empty?!? Could you move the PCI cards all down one and free up some space below the GPU?

i feel so happy. Thx for commenting it.. Its my first "custom" system built about 6 months ago. Umm ya i guess i cn try that.

even if that does cool my gpu more i still want to cool my memory... how can i use a blower to do that? i have an extra one

Try an Antec gfx cooler, they work amazingly well. Remember that the gpu chip will run hotter than most components in your case, unless you're overclocking a Pentium 4 with a stock cooler.

Get some wire management done too, because you'll notice cooler results.

I would post some pictures of mine, but I'm about to get to a gig tonight so I'll show you tomorrow.

well is there anyway to use the blower i have and position it so it cools the memory?

think i might have figured a solution. flip the blower upside down so it sucks heat from the ram. thx for help everyone! :)

Looking at your Pictures I noticed a few things
1st In the first set of pic's I see lots of dust, Dust = Heat, Clean first!
2nd wire management, ya have none, I use zip ties, elec tape, anything to get wires out of the way, buy some round IDE cables if ya got no money use Tape & make your ribbion type IDE cables round.
Cable management makes Huge differance!
3rd I see you have one rear mounted exaust fan but do you have any front mounted Intake Fans??
If your case doesnt have good air flow, no blower or HS etc. will make any differance.

geekedittilitGHz puto cum grano salis

well the only thing is... that it doesnt have a place for an intake fan. If i put one there it would be sucking very little air cuz theres like a "wall" there.

You could always use an 80mm drill mounted hole saw to gouge out a hole large enough to stick a fan in the front.
