Cool Winvista Features Missing In Win10

My mother uses a WinVista/64 computer, and I used to have one. Now, there are some features in WinVista I like that are missing in Win10, including the following:

* I like the GUI designs.
* When I insert a new disk or drive, WinVista gives me a choice as to how I want to open the disk or drive. My Win10 system used to only open the disk/drive. Now, it does nothing.
* WinVista has gadgets. I remember using a notes gadget and typing notes there. Win10 doesn't.

Do you have any problems with missing WinVista or earlier Windows features in Win10, please post here. Also, where can I go to let Microsoft know of these issues?

Imandy Mann: I thank you for your information. The setting is what I want, but the system stopped opening drives automatically.

 

Another link shows other places in control panel that might be needing to set auto-play on. It also mentions some anti-virus may disable auto-play.

I would recommend -not- to link to the scan and repair option available in the article!

Yes, but I solved the problem: I was opening the gadget from within 7Zip, which just displayed its contents. I have to extract it then open it.

 

Is there any way to spice up the Win10 GUI?
