Cooler Master Aero 4

I am using the Cooler Master Aero 4 and I am trying to get the most speed out of the fan possible. I am not concerned with noise levels, and the website says it can range from 1900~3500 rpm. According to my ASUS Probe, the fan is spinning around 2300. How do I increase the speed of the fan? The knob that is on the back of my comp that connects to it is turned all the way up.

bypass the pot. That way its running on 5V which is its max. That fan runs slowly, but it moves a lot of air for the speed.

 

Have you checked for BIOS upgrades for your motherboard?

CPU Fan speed incorrect reporting is quite a common bug that is normally fixed in later releases of BIOS.

- Caution, be careful flashing your BIOS as it could leave you with a dead MB if it fails to run successfully. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK OR WITH THE AID OF A PROFESSIONAL PERSON.

I have the latest MB Bios, so no worries. What do you mean bypass the pot? I tend not to pass on pot.

 

Pot=Potentiometer which is the speed control. (what the knob actually turns)
