I thought to share this as my GTX 275 ran at 190 degrees Fahrenheit at room temperature so I shut it down, then realized I had used a program called MSI Afterburner once before, similiar to the EVGA Precision program, but in my opinion better adjustments or fine tuning capabilities.

I do not over clock and only use these programs to allow better air cooling from the device used.

I can only comment on the use of MSI Afterburner on XP Pro and Windows 7 as this program works well on both operating systems minimized.

all I do is leave it at defaults except I click on auto to engage the automatic adjustment fan control and now my GTX 275 runs at between 163 and 167 degrees Fahrenheit.
(room temperature) as air conditioning is now not an option.

I am in hopes this will assist others in their endeavor to continue folding for our team or their team of choice.

may the fold be with you...

Ya, Afterburner is cool:)-D). I use it to keep my cards as cool as possible at all times with the least amount of noise. My 9800GT would be intolerable at %100 whereas the GTX470 was a lot quieter with a nice 'whoosh' sound. I don't keep any card at full fan though especially since I'm not GPU folding ATM, only when I need heat will they fold. It's all CPU these days.

I use afterburner as well, I like the layout and diagnostics alot, and the overclocking options dont hurt any either ;)

Its a must-own piece of software for anyone using a non-EVGA Nvida-based GPU that stresses their card out for more than 2 hours at a time (which is almost everyone who buys Nvidia cards lol)

If you have an EVGA card, then EVGA precision is pretty much the same thing :)
