copy DVD

I have a home-made Video on a CD that I would like to copy. I have both a DVD-R (E) and a DVD(D) drive. What software do I need.

 

There are literally Dozens of options.

Worldwide, the most popular CD/DVD burning software is "Nero".
However, it's not normally FREE.

For FREE software there are many choices. One that I really like is
ImgBurn. It's very easy to use and seems to work well.

Just pick a mirror site, (I picked the first one) and download the file and then install it.

ImgBurn is a great burning program (available here at Major Geeks) but it is primarily for creating/burning disc images, and I don't mean pictures or graphics files. So, I don't think ImgBurn would be the way to go here as I think you'd find it frustrating. If you have Windows XP, it has built-in burning capabilities, so you can create a new folder called "video" or whatever and then browse to your video-disc and copy all the files in to the "video" folder you created. Once they're all there, you can then open the "video" folder and burn all the files back to a blank CD using the Windows XP built-in burning. Alternatively, you can use the freeware AShampoo Burning Studio 2009. It has a "Copy CD" feature where you'd put your source (the original video CD) in one drive, then put a blank in the destination drive (the DVDRW burner), and it will do the copying for you. AShampoo requires registration, but it's 100% free, and real quick and easy (I did it last night on my home PC and it took less than 2 minutes). There are numerous other free burning programs, but very few have 1:1 disc copy abilities... I hope this helps!
