Copy Protection in Vista

I am just wondering if Macrovision's Copy Control works in Vista? Here's why I'm asking.

I ripped Velvet Revolver's new album when I realised that I hadn't ripped Contraband. So I went to my room and took it from a stack. I then put it in my CD drive and ripped as per usual. I only realised after I had ripped it, it had a Copy Control logo on the case. So it's worked for that CD, but does it work for others? And does this mean that using Vista is the cure to copy protection?
