Ok this is odd, But is there any way i can copy a 2.3 gig file in DOS??

Basically, my DVD (half) drive died, bringing windows XP with it. I have a backup image i can restore, and i can boot off cd into the restore prog - but then it wont read the drive to load the image.. So i have the image on a portable USB drive, which can be seen under dos in "windows XP Recovery".. But it wont copy and im guessing its the file size..

I might look for an external DVD drive, but any way to copy a 2.3 gig file via DOS?

    cheers.

Well ive managed to split them, but it seems the DOS that XP Recovery loads cant handle the re-assembly of the file!! damn.

Looking for another bootable dos disc now that might work.
