Copying DVDs

I have tried everything I know...which amounts to about 2 seconds...to copy a DVD for work. It's from my home office and there is no protection on it to stop any copying. I have a Dell PC with home XP. My boss told me to download Toast and use that to burn a DVD, but when I download that from Major Geek, all I get is Inferno Man and a settings button that gets me nowhere. I am desperate, as my last resort, Kinkos, just informed me that they don't copy DVDs. Okay, here it is, guys, how do I download the DVD to my hard drive and then burn the copy? Your Boss was teasing you "Toast" is specifically designed to push your computer to it's limits, used by experienced users, and basically causes it to significantly heat up. Coarsely it is the equivalent of red lining a car for a prolonged period. You should get your boss back by saying your computer made a LOUD fizzling noise, smoke dispersed from the case and a terrible electrical smell was noticed, then looking upset tell him your computer won't even switch on any more.

 

Toast was also one of the first CD burning programs for Macs, is your boss a Mac user? As you didn't mention whether your computer had burning software or not you could try this, http://majorgeeks.com/CDBurnerXP_d4242.html, as it is free and should do what you want.

 

I was wondering about that, i.e. whether there was another "Toast" application. But certainly the one you obtained from this site was what I described earlier and is for making the CPU very Toasty and warm. Maybe don't play the joke on your boss?!?
