    Howdy!

If you wanted to see an old  page (and site) with some java applets and other weird stuff you might try clickin' on over to......
    http://www.absurd.org/((((((/coremelt/index.html
    and see what pops up.

The particular page the link is to hasn't been updated since 1999. A lot of the site is that old too, if not all of it.

    Enjoy

.....I hope yer java is working for you.

Glad you liked it. I found it not too long after I first started using a computer in Dec of 2000. It startled the bejeezus out of me at the time.

I remember when Windows 3.1 used to do that sort of thing all on its own.

95 on an IBM Aptiva was my first (for about six months) then ME on a HP Pavilion. At least now I use XP Pro on the HP (dual boot xp/me.)
I have to switch over to ME every now and then to use some apps that don't quite like working on XP, but mostly I stick with XP - there are more tools to help get you out of trouble.

 .....And More Tools To Get You Into It!! ;) ;)

    Hi,
Actually, I use this link as a quick check to see if my java is working properly. When the page loads you should have a bunch of little windows (applets) opening and closing all over your screen for about 10 seconds.
If you get a gray area with a little red "x" in the corner your java is not working properly. Check your Java settings. You need to have java enabled for the site to work (look in your "Internet Options" under the "Advanced" Tab.) If it is enabled and it still doesn't work, try downloading and installing the latest version of Sun Java. Microsoft Java (Virtual Machine) sometimes does not work with older java.

You can check your browser and java and a buncha other stuff here: http://gemal.dk/browserspy/

    Good Luck,
    DN
