Corinex AV200 CableLAN issues

Starting last weekend, I noticed that my wired home network was acting weird. Every so often, it would completely disconnect, but the wireless would still work.

I deduced that my AV200 CableLAN adapters were failing, so I went to check them out and noticed they were running unbelievably hot, so I decided to unplug them and give them some time to cool down. When I went to plug them back in, I noticed that neither adapter's Ethernet light would turn on, I eventually did get one of them to work, but the other continues to fail.

The only light that turns on is the power light, it gives a solid green, nothing else. Last night I was able to somehow get the 3 lights (Power, Cable and Ethernet) to flash in sync, but that really did not achieve anything. My modem recognizes that the adapter is connected to it, the corresponding light on the front of the modem lights up to indicate that its attached, but the adapter still refuses to acknowledge its connection.

    Help?
