Corrupt file?!?!

I installed the following drive on my PC:

To install this drive I uplugged my computer, hooked up the power wire and the IDE wire that needed to be plugged in the drive, and after doing a quick check to make sure everyone was the way it used to be prior to installation, started my computer back up. However, I get past the boot screen only to get a black screen saying the following:

Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
system32/DRIVERS/nvatabus.sys

You can attempt to repair this file by starting Windows Setup using the original Setup CD-ROM.
Select "r" at the frist screen to start repair.

Unfortunately, when I put my Win. XP CD in the drive and boot from the CD, nothing happens. Any thoughts on this?
