corrupt files/chkdsk utility??

i keep getting corrupt file pop-ups on my screen, advising me to run my chkdsk utility, but when i do, it says that windows has found errors but will not fix them because the utility was not run with the fix (/F) parameter entered. does anyone know how i can run the chkdsk utility so that it will fix any errors that it discovers? the corrupt files usually refer to AOL program files of some sort. i've already uninstalled and reinstalled several times, but to no avail. many thanks.
