    Having problems with chkdsk and corrupt files are still reported. I use XP;
    seeking advice !!!

    Which software would be the best to correct this?

    Thanks,

    Not enough info. Go to my computer, right-click the problematic drive, properties, tools, check now, check both boxes, start, yes, & restart pc. It'll take a while.

    Thanks for the info; What is a good program to run for disk services?

    What do you mean by disk services?
    Do you mean testing the health of a hard drive or do you mean checking the services that run in XP?

    What I told you to do is scandisk or chkdsk in XP. By default, Windows will auto check the disk for errors at boot, and if it finds something wrong, it'll start scanning the disk in a moment. You don't have to worry about it unless you get a lot of errors accessing files.
