Corrupt/missing file/no recovery disk

    This is a HP notebook ze2000. We get the blue screen of death with the message (1st attached below) So we tried rebooting in safe mode and it stopped while loading system drivers at the Mup.sys (2nd attached below).

    My main question is since he let someone talk him into wiping the computer, which didn't work. If we found the recovery disks for this notebook (I can get these at HP) will that fix the problem? Or is this something else?

    yes, the recovery disk will format and reload your Operating System be it XP or whatever.

    Thanks, the only problem now is he can't add a second monitor to his laptop, seems that driver either didn't load or wasn't on the disc. He's having a heck of a time finding one.

    Download Belarc Advisor from the link below Save it.
    Then Run it this will tell you what Video card you have installed.
    Then you should be able to update the drivers for the Video card.
