corrupt or missing

    When trying to install windows xp home edtion from installation disk I get error message as follows.
    inf file txtsetup.sif is corrupt or missing, status 8192. Setup cannot continue.

    Welcome to Major Geeks.

    It's possible the disk is simply dirty or scratched.

    It's possible your pc memory is getting dodgy.

    So tell us about you system and the installation disk, what sort is the disk?
