corrupt registy please please help

I am having this exact same issue... How was it resolved?

Hi

Moved your thread to its own as that other one was not resolved from 2008 as the reference made ot it being solved was a humourous reply to a subsiquently deleted spammer.

We'd need some info from you as in what Windows version you using, can you boot into safe mode (f8 at boot) ok?

Have you tried System Restore, thats if Windows does boot ok.

also if its XP then this may help http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307545 *BUT do read the article carefully as if your Windows version is an OEM one as in a Dell, HP Sony, etc pc then dont run those steps.

Hello lowlyartist :wave and welcome to MG.. There are MANY reasons and just as MANY solutions...

First off, you are going to have to provide a lot more info on your system... What is your OS? (XP? Vista?) and more than likely, more info to find out exactly what your problem is, and how do you know you have a " corrupt registry" in the first place?

All these questions need to be addressed, so do post what your OS is and what sort of problems you have been experiencing..

Hi thanks for the fast replies. I was getting a loadkey failed error 999 on Vista 32. I was able to fix this with diskchk.
