corrupted hardware scanner?

Is there any program that'll scan my comptuer for corrupted hardware/drivers that might be causing my computer to randomally shutdown?

Start by posting some spec's of your PC.
Have you checked device manager for problems?
What OS are you running?

 

My comment would be about the 'corrupt device drivers' part, which generally is not the case. Drivers don't get corrupted under normal circumstances, if they are the cause then either there might be a conflict with other devices/OS or the version of the drivers is not the correct one for the OS in question.

What makes you think that the random shutdowns are caused by device drivers?

Have you installed any drivers, programs or updates of any kind prior to problem started?

Even though you stated the shutdowns were random, do you see an programs in the background (whether you launched or they got launched during Windows startup)?

Have you tried using a 'startup' monitoring tool to see what starts up along with Windows? Your random shutdowns could be caused by a virial infection as well...just my 2 cents.

 

turn off automatic shutdown first, see if the computer still crashes and needs a reboot. if so you'll get a better chance of seeing what program / procedure caused this.

right click my computer > properties > advanced > under startup and recovery click settings > untick the 'reboot automatically' box then clock OK.

now, instead of rebooting the computer should get really slow or send you a warning message. if it gets slow open task manager and see if some process takes up a lot of memory, then come back here and report. if you'll get a warning message, write down what it says and report back here as well.
