    Be used for backup storage ?:confused or anything else,The old one I still have has Cd 5" floppy and 3.5 inch floppy

    How big is the hard drive on it?

    Now days barely anything will fit on a floppy

    If the bios handles large drives maybe FreeNAS
    Or find a 3.1 install and try http://www.calmira.de/

    Maybe it has an 80MB drive, what's that man, 20 MP3 songs? Maybe a *nix router is the best you could use it for. I wonder if it's even worth the electricity.
