Could it Be AVG

Hi Guys

Not really sure where to post this so apologies if it is in the wrong place.

2 weeks ago i was having really bad issues with my computer slowing down and crashing as well as the internet opening up and running really slow.

I ran your Malware removal steps and this seems to have made my comp run as fast as it ever has. But i think this was due to the virus protection. When i disabled AVG to run one of your steps the computer ran quicker and has been running quick ever since.

I dont have any worries regarding Malware any more as i am having no problems but i still not do not have a virus protection package

Could AVG have been responsible for the slowing down of my comp so much? and can you recommend any other recommendations as to the best virus SW for my comp

Cheers for the reply, will that microsoft security essentials protect me properly? i mean i do some downloading sometimes.

and if so how do i used it?
