    Hello every person,

I've got a problem which you can read about here http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=1125574#post1125574 which although is related to games I think it is more to do with hardware. I have an inkling my PSU COULD be on it's way out because of how there's no sign on my computer crashing during games but I don't know if it is the power supply or not, particularly as I only got it 2 months ago!

    Thanks people :confused

    I've never heard of a 600w Colors-it PSU
[ maybe in place of the - should be an H ] roflmao

The PSU is the Heart of any system, Not a good place to Skimp

PSU can be responsible for whole host of problems, Test it..... use a Multimeter

More important that age of a PSU is the Quality of the parts inside one
Many manufactures Fluff the spec's, even some well known ones, Thermal ...cough..cough................:major

are you still having this problem, or did it finally boot up? If you cant figure out using the multimeter, do you have another computer that you can trythat psu on?

OK guys, problem seems to be sorted.

The power supply has stopped playing up but I don't know why. It seemed to happen around the same time that my graphics problems stopped, but surely there's not link there?!

The problem with the graphics was that directx of all things was being rubbish. Everytime id try to play a game it'd freeze after about 10 or 20 minutes and nothing could fix it. I uninstalled the graphics card drivers, and reverted directx back to XP basic (which is version 8.xx). I read somewhere that when you have a new system build you should install directx first before your graphics drivers. I don't know how true this is but it seemed to work for me.

One other thing was that the second time round I installed the graphics drivers off of the CD, not the most up to date ones from the nVidia website, and all seems ok now.

    Thanks again persons.
