I've tried numerous mice on this computer and all seem to be jumpy and my keyboard also seems to be having some problems, have tried unplugging and replugging it. Could my motherboard not be receiving the input from these devices correctly as I'm not sure if sometingis wrong with them or the computer?

USB or PS2 connections? If USB, have you tried other usb ports on the computer?
