I have followed the whole procedure of documented in the "Basic tutorial for Spyware, Trojan and Virus Removal" TWICE.

    I still get pop-ups.

HijackThis detected the following file which HJT auto analyzer v2 suggestes to have it fixed.

    O10 - c:\WINDOWS\system32\calsp.dll

Since HijackThis couldnt fix the problem, it suggested to try LSPFix from Cexx.org. But the calsp.dll file is always listed in the "keep" category when LSPFix is run. So nothing is removed at the end.

Can anybody suggest as to how to get rid of this problem?

    Thanks.

    Regards,

Please help: Can anyone review the log? Re: Could not delete calsp.dll

    Hello,

    Thanks for the suggestions.

I finally could remove calsp.dll but now I realise the problem is far more grave.

The following are the steps I have followed after I started having tons of pop-ups since Last Wednesday.

Each and every step listed in the basic tutorial " Read Me first" including the online scans, cleaning hard drive using CCleaner, Main spyware scan & removal, secondary removal steps.

Each of these steps detected malicious files and were removed. HijackThis detected calsp.dll which I was unable to remove and I kept getting pop-ups.

So I used Trojan online scan, Trend Micro's Free Online Virus Scan,a-squared free one-month trial edition, HS Remove.

    Finally I got rid off calsp.dll .

But to be on the safer side, I scanned with BitDefender, RaVAntivirus, Symantec Antivirus client again ( during these online scans there were no popups). I repeated scans with Ad-aware, Spybot, CCleaner, CWShredder, a-squared.
During this check, none of them showed any malwares ( except DSO Exploit was repeatedly detected & removed by Spybot It seems each time i scan with Spybot, it detects DSO and each time it removes it and again detects it !!).
Analyzing the HijackThis log with the online analyzer showed no nasty items.

After all these, when I started browsing inter with IE, I have pop-ups again right from the very first site.

I scan with HijackThis, analyzing the log shows malicious items, HijackThis fixes it, I log on to internet and I have pop-ups AGAIN..!!!

I have attached the most recent log with this post.

I would really appreciate if someone could help me out.

    Thanks.

    Regards,
    Monalisa
