I believe this pretty basic Dell I have (Inspiron 531) has an "integrated video card"?)? I have these old things sitting-around, and am wondering if anyone can (possibly?!?) tell from this pic if they "might" be better than what I currently have...?

    Thanks in advance,

PS ~ I apologize for the poor quality photo.

    That's pretty unlikely, Glenn ;)

I see one PCI gfx card there that looks like it dates back to the mid 90's, the EISA? gfx card's not gonna fit anything newer than a 486 dinosaur and the top cards are a RealTek NIC and a soundcard, both PCI.

What's the Dell Service tag # on the 531?

Thank you very much for the reply - the Service Tag is: GVL6JF1 (reading it upside-down, so I "HOPE" that's it!?! ha)...

Ok, your motherboard looks like it has 4 expansion slots: PCI: 2 slots, PCIe x1: 1 slot, PCIe x16 (Graphics): 1 slot. Theoretically, you could use the PCI (middle one in your photo) gfx card, you probably won't find a Vista driver for it though, maybe not even an XP one. The likelihood of it being better than your onboard gfx = close to zero.
