Bought the wife a Canon Canoscan 5600F for her home office, it comes with the following software: Solution Menu, MP Navigator EX and ArcSoft PhotoStudio -

Could someone give me a brief explanation of what each of those software programs does -

I have tried to research these but it is confusing -

    Thanks

    Hi

Arcsoft Photostudio is a digital photo editor. If you aren't planning on editing photos on your computer, or already have something, you really don't need to install it.

The Navigator allows you to scan and save your files, etc. It'll give you different options and settings to choose from when you scan. You should install that.

Solution Menu, I am not sure about. From doing a search, I believe it allows you to streamline your choice of what you want to do. As per Canon: "The solution menu lets you get straight to the function of your device that you need." I would think it probably contains your digital manuals as well.
