Counter Strike.. What updates/addons/patches?

Hi Guys,

I have installed my copy of counter-strike, I was wondering what patches, mods, etc are essential to install to play on servers and be upto date? I got the 1.0.0.5 update, but isnt their official map packs or something?

Im using ATI, I grabbed the retail ATI fix also, but what else?

 

If by copy you mean the real thing w/a legit cdkey you now need STEAM www.steampowered.com . Half life no longer operates on their old system and you need to update to it. Steam is like a download manager offspring of and old Valve project. Its somewhat efficient (except when new games are out and everyones downloading) in its purpose and be ready for a long wait if your on 56k since EVERYTHING is dled through it.

Also there is no ATI fix any more...thats like so 5years ago Newest ati drivers @ www.ati.com (catalyst 4.9) your living in a time warp!.
