counterstrike lag?

ok im playing counterstrike and there a little number beside my name that like between 40-50 (which is my ping) , that a good ping , if your ping is high u lag but i dont lag . But today im playing and then all of a sudden my ping goes to like 160 for like 1sec then it goes back down to like 50 . And it does this once in a while (not too much)

so i close all my program running but steam ( which is what i use to play counterstrike) so what do u recember i do?

 

That's just normal internet lag. If it's only happening "once in a while", I'm sure it's not much of a problem.
