would disabling my Norton Antvirus' autoprotect have any effect on my gameplay? as i know Norton is a big resource hog... the only game i play is Counterstrike on the Half-Life engine....

i mean i already have good ping, high fps, and 512MB of RAM i was just wondering.... thanks for your input

Disabling Norton wouldn't really do that much for you, espically if you already have high ping and 512 memory i would just leave it on.

Yeah, unless you are trying to run it on a Pentium 2 with 32 Mb of RAM, you probably have plenty of resources to run both Half-Life and Norton at the same time.
