Couple of questions

Has anywone had any problems with Fresh Diagnose? Every time I run a benchmarking test, the program locks my computer.

Also, is anywone experiencing any problems with Big Fix? Whenever I try to gather fixlets (what a dorky work, huh?) I can never connect to the sites; I get this error message "Windows reports 'Download' failure."

Nope I have not had any problems with Fresh Diagnose in the past but then again I have not updated it of late..... I tend to use either Aida32 or Sisoft SANDRA check these two out as they give great info about whats in your pc.

As for BigFix I dont use any programs like that to get updates for my pc, I tend to go and get them manualy from the makers sites, I have a folder in Favorites just for links to update sites for the hardware and software I have installed, I find it easier this way as you do find that websites and links/URLs to updates, driver pages can change!

Especially with MS updates some you need some you dont so I personally find it safer to install their updates if I need them directly off WU.

Edit: I have just looked at BigFix's help website and maybe this is of help IF not email them and ask them how you fix it.

Solution:
This error indicates that BigFix could not successfully connect to the server computer over the Internet to download the required update. This error could be caused by a variety of problems:

Your Internet connection is not working correctly - Check to see if you can connect to different web sites in your web browser. If your download is failing try connecting to http://www.microsoft.com or if your gather is failing try to connect to http://www.bigfix.com. If you cannot connect to these sites, make sure you are connected to the Internet or contact your Internet Service Provider for further support.

Another program running on your system is prohibiting BigFix from accessing the Internet - Software such as personal firewalls, proxy agents, and download accelerators may intercept Internet traffic and prohibit BigFix from gathering. To resolve this issue, configure these programs to allow BigFix full access to the Internet (for more information on how to configure your personal firewall or download accelerator, visit the support site of the software provider).

Overloaded Servers - The download servers (such as Microsoft's download server) are sometimes busy. If many people are simultaneously downloading a file from a server, the server will slow down and at some point may cease to respond. Also, the servers will sometimes not run properly and not allow you to download files. In these cases, it is best to wait a while and try again at "off-peak" hours.

Your installation of BigFix or Internet Explorer is corrupt - Sometimes the BigFix or Internet Explorer installations become corrupt and cease to work properly. This is rare, but if you have tried to download a file for several days and you continually experience a problem, try to follow the directions at BigFix Troubleshooting Tips.

Sorry this is so late in replying...but, thanks for the info.

For some reason I can't connect to the BigFix website, which is probably the problem. I have no idea why that is, though.
