1: I am getting very low RPM readings on my PSU(Antec true 480), It tends to stay under 1000 RPM. WHATS THE DEAL?

2:My processor(Athlon64 3200+) temp idles around 47C(stock HSF). But after a straight hour and a half DOOM3 run, I came back to Asus probe to find my CPU temp at 58C, I was hoping to start messing around with OC'ing soon. Gonna need an expensive HSF arent I?

3: I recently replaced my 80 mm back chassis(exhaust) fan with a firecracker blue(2700 RPM) and also added another(same fan) to the top of my case(also exhaust). This fan:

and my Rig is now load (and I mean very very load). Is this just the price I have to pay for the kick ass 2700 RPM fans? Or is it possible I screwed em on too tight or something? My CPU fan doesnt make that kind of noise when it runs at 4K+ RPM's.

    any advice is appreciated.

please disregard question #2. I narrowed down the noise (by disconnecting power to each fan one at a time) and found it to be a problem with the filter unit for the top fan that came with my case. ripped that out and all is quiet.

please reply to my other questions though because they are of some actual importance.

1 your PSU might be really dirty ... you might try using those air duster cans

3 i have a 4000RPM fan and while it's loud it aint that bad ... but you might goto your local hardware store and ask for some rubbber washers(i think that's what they're called) that fit the fan screws

My system with the Antec Sonata And 2 120mm fans (1 intake & 1 exhaust) was very quiet - even quieter now that I fragged the BIOS of my MSI K8T Neo FIS2R and won't have it up and running for a little while.

PSU is 2 weeks old. Faulty perhaps? Hardware monitor in BIOS shows the PSU fan speed in red, which caused me to worry. If running at less that 1k rpm's is ok, then I wont worry.

I figured out the noisy fan problem.

    thx
