I will be overclocking my computer when i buy it, ive been advised to buy a better cpu fan, and not to use the one thats comes with the cpu, i will be buying a amd 64 3500, and ive been advised to buy a Zalman CNPS7700-Cu 120mm Cooler, do you also recommend that i buy better heat paste and not to use the one that comes with the cpu.

You might think that this is a bit daft, but if the Zalman CNPS7700-Cu 120mm Cooler is much better, i would rather buy it in the first place, rather than having to remove the amd fan and paste in the future, its sound very tricky, and knowing me i'll damage the cpu trying.

The Thermaltake XP120 is an excellent, high quality cooler also. It can be purchased here : http://www.crazypc.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=50980

As for the Zalman one... i know they make a good watercooler but i dont know about their heatsinks. Yes you will want to buy better paste. Preferably Arctic Silver 5. Im not sure AMD heatsinks are secured down with anything... Mine wasnt, just a thermal pad and i put the clip to hold the heatsink on myself.... Yours MIGHT be like this. If its not read below.

As for removing the old heatsink, simply heat it up nice and warm, and start pulling, twisting also helps here. Make sure the cpu is out of your computer first (fairly easy to do actually). Once its off clean off the old thermal paste off your processor with 70% Isropropyl Alcohol. Apply new thermal paste and install new heatsink.

If you dont think your capable of doing this, take it to a shop and they should do it for ya.
