    Hi,
I was wondering what speed the fan on my AMD 3200+ should be running? Right now it's only going between 990-1040 RPM. Is this too low?
It seems slower than my last PC but I'm not too sure.

If it is going to slow, what would cause it and how could I fix it?

    Thanks in advance

Sorry, I just noticed in my bios that the auto detect cpu fan speed was enabled. When I disabled it it ran at a little over 3000 rpm constant.

Is it better to always have the fan going max or should I leave it on auto detect?

Congrats on your 100th post! :)

I personally wouldn't worry about fan speeds. What I'd check is cpu temp.

yes as the fool said temp is most important, you want it below 50 degrees celcius if possible,if your fan can run at the slow speeds and keep the cpu cool great,or if the noise of the higher fan speed speed doesnt bother you leave it running at 3000 rpm, basically its just how much noise your willing to stand
