Ok here is the thing. I wanted to get some specs so I downloaded a program from here to check that. It is your WCPUID download and my question is---How in world do I install this thing??? I went to add and remove programs and it aint there--went to start> programs and it aint there so I'm needin some help here with this one. Got me some other ideas but before I do them figured I'd get a second (or third ) opinion. Thanks! Oh I'm running 98se by the way.

Download to your Desktop or where ever you want ( remember where you save it to)
Then I would make a folder say on your desktop maybe name it "CPU ID" or what ever ya want
Then click on wcpu330, choose browse, then select the folder you made, then Decompress, it will decompress to the folder you choose.
Then just open the folder, There's read me file it will tell you all about the utility, or just click on the "WCPU" icon for the info you want:major

    Here's mine

Ok you see I already downloaded the program--ran it--got my specs wrote down and now I want to do an uninstall. I looked at the read me file and it says nothing about an uninstall. Checked the obvious places (read prior post)so now all I want is a suggestion or two about having to remove this program properly.Any suggestions Anyone?

I believe it's a stand-alone program; meaning you just need to delete its folder, files, etc... It didn't really install so it won't be in the Add/Remove list....

Ah I see! Ok I'll just do that. I was going to do that to begin with but didn't know if that would be the proper way. The download is very informative about things and would recommend it to who ever needs such a thing. I'm planning on trying my hand at overclocking and wanted some benchmarks to start with which is the main reason I downloaded to begin with. Thanks a lot for assistance.
