CPU keep restarting

First off, Im pretty clueless when it comes to computer. But heres the problem. My cpu just restart out of nowhere sometimes. When it does that, it will keep restarting till I turn off the computer for like 20 min or so. I dunno if my computer is over heated or not cuz i never had problems with it b4. I have about 3 cooling fans on the cpu. I have also went to the control panel > System > advanced > Startup and Recovery and turn off the restart automatically option. Does anyone know whats wrong or I need more info on the problem?

 

It's most likely a heating issue. It is a hardware issue though. If you've turned off automatic restart there are no software issues which will cause it to do that.

One thing you may want to take into account is if you have 3 fans all pointed in the same direction (into the case) then this actually causes it to heat up because the hot air never escapes it just keeps getting hotter. It's a very common mistake. Also dust build up in the heat sink can cause computers to run up to 20C hotter then they would normally. Ususally it only gets that bad if you run an opened case though.

I'd check thoughs things, and if you really want to know go download one of the tools like EtherDetect to see just how hot you are running.

 

Do check PSU it Stable or not?
Beside CPU is overheat you should pay attention to VGA and Mobo chipset.
