Just bought AIDA64 information app for my pc I recently built and was looking at some of the info. it gathers. When looking at the CPU Properties under cpu speed it says current speed which is 1255.6 Mhz and next to it says original speed 2500 Mhz. Why isn't my processor running at 2500 Mhz which it says it is capable of? Is their something I can do to make it run at that speed? Is my Motherboard limiting me to the 1255 Mhz?

The short answer is that theres nothing wrong with your CPU. Most new CPU's have a power-saving feature that reduces the multiplier and the core voltage of the cpu which reduces it's speed (Mhz) when that extra power is not needed. If you then run a labour-intensive program and check the CPU's speed again, you should see it ramp up to the full 2500Mhz. In short, it's like giving your car only half-throttle when it doesnt need to run flat out. CPU's are throttled as well.
