CPU Pentium 3.20E GHz

It goes to out-of-limit tempsjust @ start-up:
CPU 65deg C, Zone1 >45 Zone2 >50

This is the 2nd CPU behaving like this. Intell people here in Pakistan could not resolve.
I seearched Web & got one posting from UK complaining the same problem.

Any tip

 

You must have a bad heatsink, not putting enough pressure on the cpu, Does the thermal paste spread out even? ed

 

When you first boot up go into BIOS and assess temps there. Also download Everest Home (free) and see what temp it posts:

Start with this and lets definatively ensure the app your using.

What is the current ambient temp over there (day time temp from local news) even better if you can measure the ambient room temp.
