    Hi,
Another question... Is there a way to check and see if the processor is working the way is should. I repaced the fan a couple weeks ago because it wasn't working like it should and the processor was getting to hot. Now, last night the computer did the same thing again. It shut down and then gave a long beep when you tried to restart it. It's running now but want to take care of this before it dies again. I have a computer guy but isn't local and it's difficult to get things taken care of where I live. Want to take care of this before it's an emergency...
    Thanks for the info...

    Is your new Fan working?
Did you replace the Heatsink & fan? If so did you use Thermal paste?
If you replaced the Fan only, is it big enough? does it provide enough CFM?
Did you install the fan blowing in the right direction, Blowing towards the HS/CPU?

In your other Thread you said you had some restarting problems, an overheating CPU can cause this.

The first thing I would do is remove the HSF clean the old thermal pad or paste off then apply some good quality thermal paste ( I prefer Artic Ceramic or Artic silver thermal paste)
