CPU / processor

hey, i was wondering but is the CPU the same as the processor? b/c i see on like every site it says like, CPU's (processor) so i dunno, iv been learnin lots in my computer repair class thou so dats awesome, ooo ya while im on here, im on my laptop rite now b/c my dumb lil sister is on da desktop is there a way i get disconnect her from my laptop so i can get on hehe im usen a wireless router from linksys and card

 

Yes a processor is the same as a cpu.

thx halo and cooked, i thought they were the same but i dunno, when i was in comp. repair class they were show us some parts of the comp, we had to name em to see how much we knew, i knew almost all of em, but they had a processor that was huge and i seen like other CPUs in a sqaure shape, this processor (CPU or somethin) was like a rectangle and had a case or somethin on it, think it was pen. 2 processor, oh does anyone kno about the wireless thing (2nd question i had)
