Cpu usage always at 100%

My laptop is messed up its only a year old and its claiming to be using 100% Cpu and its lagging like crazy whenver i play basic games or when im not doing anything at all and this isnt normal aswell as speedfan says my temp1 is 90C and i dont want to fry anything i need help

A few quick groundwork questions:

What's the make and model # of your machine (please include any Service Tag #s), and what operating system version and Service Pack # are you using?

Do the same symptoms present while in Safe Mode?

As far as the heat issue: are all fans clean and running?

 

Never mind - I see that it's Win 7.

 

Acer Aspire 5532 and i havent checked in safe mode and yes the fans are clean and running

 

It's not a very fast computer, that could be part of the issue for the slow performance.

Do you have any additional ram in it? (it has 1 slot for 1 or 2 gig)

The 90 degrees you mentioned. is that the CPU temp or...?

I'm not sure what the normal running temp is meant to be for this laptop, but does the air coming from the exhaust vents feel abnormally hot, even when it hasn't been on for long? (feel like a heater, rather than just hotter than room temp)

And does it ever turn off by it's self? (overheating)


What games are you trying to run?

 

Oh, and it's usually a good thing when the cpu says it's at 100%, it just means it's working as hard as it can on what ever task it's been set.

 

Task Manager > Processes, click 2x on the CPU header - it should now be showing the highest CPU usage process at the top. Which processes are eating your CPU? What are the top 4 and what is their approx usage %?
