    Hi All

This may be a totally dumb question so please forgive me if it is

When I look at my CPU Usage in Task Manager Performance, I seem to have two graph lines - Red & Green. Is this normal? If not what could the problem be?

I have Win XP SP2, and the CPU is an AMD Sempron 1.5Ghz Processor on a VIA Technology KM400-8235 mother board.

    Thanks

    Margas

Are the 2 lines in one box?

Or do you have 2 boxes, one red, 1 green?

I have a duo core CPU, 2 boxes, single line in each, both green.

    Hi Bazza

I have one box CPU Usage with a % bar and CPU Usage History with a scrolling graph. They are both mainly green lines in them but then I also get red lines in as well as the green lines.
I think I have attached a screenshot of the graph. IF I've done it right, does this make sense.

Task manager is run by the program taskmgr.exe in c:\windows\system 32 in my XP Pro.
Should be the same in yours.
Do a Search for taskmgr.exe to confirm where it is on your PC.

AS A LAST RESORT, get a copy of taskmgr.exe from a friends computer running XP.

Delete your copy and load the new one in c:\windows\system 32, or wherever.

Might work, if no other solution passed on by the MG folks here.

As I mentioned, AS A LAST RESORT.

All care but no responsibilty for this advice.:(:cry Bazza

Our posts crossed "in the mail" :D

I've never noticed red lines in my Task Manager. May have to look closer in future. I usually run Task manager minimised.

    @Anyone out there@

    can you help further?

My previous suggestion MIGHT help. Bazza

The red lines are from having the show kernel times option checked under the view menu.... just uncheck them and they should dissapear

I can now stop worrying about it (at least I hope I can):D :D.
