crackapp uninstall directions

    If it's anything like the name, Majorgeeks does not support Cracks/warez.

    Technically he needs help uninstalling the crack apps so its not piracy as he is removing them from his pc. Plus he didnt ask for any apps.

    But what do you need help uninstalling?

    Crackapp IIRC is a p2p application?

    Is their a reference to it in Add/Remove? if so use that to uninstall, then run a registry and junk cleaning application something like CCleaner to find and remove any reminents of this app.

    downloaded and installed crackapp from crackapp.com some time ago .. had some time today to play so installed it .. now want to uninstall .. no ui directions included .. tried with WINXP add/remove ... crackapp.com webite not responding tried to delete mycomputer/program file/crackapp folder but get error msg "used by another program" .. does not appear in Win TaskMgr .. have been able to manually delete all but crackapp.exe file thanx

    Dont think I'm going to hunt for a link for you if you're too lazy to look!



    but to careese, try the following apps and one of them should be able to delete that file,


    Options to delete this errant file are,


    1. Pocket Killbox
    2. MoveOnBoot this one, once you dragNdrop the file or browse for its location, deletes the file on reboot, so any applications that have locked the file are not running so cannot lock it before deletion.. my fav!
    3. Unlocker

    NOT too lazy, juz not tech savy! ... tried all your suggestions ... not sure WHICH one worked but one of em did ... thanks a bunch ... u gz r the best!!!

    Oh sorry the comment wasnt aimed at you careese ;)

    No probs, glad one of them did the job, I would tho from a quick read on that app run some malware/spyware scans of your PC just to make sure you didnt contract anything from it.. I know the original developers said it was spyware free ~ but I'm a distrusting soul with these p2p apps ;)
