crap!!I just deleted a folder

I just deleted a folder I didnt want to delete

and I didnt notice till after I ran ccleaner

is there anyway to get that back?

 

If you are using XP with NTFS file system try Free Undelete. Worked great for me when I did similar! If that doesn't work check out similar programs in the Data Recovery Section of MajorGeeks.

AbbySue's advice was correct. I did the same thing about a month ago and Free Undelete did the trick!

Additionally, for future reference:
You might want to open CCleaner and "untick" the option for "Empty the Recycle Bin" (this option is located in the "Cleaner" section in the "Windows tab" right under the "System" options). Once this option is unticked; CCleaner will remember the setting and leave the Recycle Bin contents untouched whenever you run the program. Of course, you can always choose this option again later on if you wish.

Also, to anyone running more than one "Crap Cleaning type program.", remember to check the default settings in each of these programs. You may, for example, untick the Empty Recycle Bin in CCleaner, but forget to do it in the other program/s. Each program operates independently of the other/s and your Recycle Binnned programs could still be wiped. Beware, Cleanup! and CCleaner have similar defaults. So check them both to sychronise their defaults. Bazza
