Right you lot. You got stuff needing done round the house, so what is it?

Last night, I had the distinct honor and privilege of replacing for a third time this year a broken sprinkler head and pipe. Why is this happening you say? Because it's a head close to the driveway and my wife's client's keep running over it when they overshoot the driveway. I moved it out a bit and bought a shorter length head so it's just now ground level. Should work I think, but unlike last time, I got the pipe cut lengths on the first time.

Also, got some dormant hornets nets to knock down, and next moves on to preventative auto maintenance.

Well . . . I managed to repair my bay window, so it's all squared away now - that was the biggest job. My house is over 100 years old and there isn't a straight line or a true angle in the place.

I do however still have to seal my storm windows; repaint a large portion of the trim; some minor repair on the porch, then seal and paint it. That's the outdoor list . . . indoors I have to run wiring to the bedroom for a ceiling fan and another outlet (rooms only got one rolleyes and it's the old pre-war knob and tube wiring).

Project-wise, I want to reclaim the kid's old room in the basement (they named it "The Pit"). It's still full of their junk, and I want to clean it out and turn it into a real "man-cave" and move all my stuff down there. It's a 20' X 20' room with it's own outdoor exit. I can put my PC workshop down there also, and give up my den on the first floor so the wife can have all of it. I need to install a bathroom down there first, though (at least a urinal) so that whole thing is a long haul project.

The wife also wants me to start fininshing out the eaves in the attic for a master bedroom . . . That's also gonna be a job and a half. I've drawn up the plans for what I want to do (she will have her first walk-in closet, with it's own window! :-D). The trouble is finding the time to do any of these things, lol . . . that and I am lazy, and proud of it! ;)

where to start... the shower upstairs needs the silicone removing and replacing (we have a leak), my bedroom needs finishing (paint), downstairs, theres one corner of the living room that needs painting, curtains need taking up in the music room, one of the french doors needs painting, need a new gatepost so the gate doesn't turn outwards into the street (though this can be quite amusing.... and this is just for starters, i could go on rolleyes

Could have used some of your staff this weekend, Halo - I did manage to get my porch painted, but I also put up 80' of fence . . . a job I did not expect.

That was too much like real work! :-D
