    Hi,

Most of the times, when I use my windows XP for writing Farsi, I will have a crash incidence. It is very peculiar. It does not crash the first time I start writing in FARSI in word. Then, the second time after sometime, if I open the word and then do the Alt+shift to change the language to Farsi, it crashes and brings up the blue page that says there was something wrong in one part of the system and then it is dumping the memory into physical memory.

It only happenes when I use Farsi writing in the Word. Sometimes it stays good for a long time(I rarely logout and turn off computer, I just logoff and then put computer into sleep and then when come back press any keys to bring it back), but sometimes it really gets nasty and crashes again and again.

Is it because of the fonts I use? I have downloaded some Farsi fonts from internet. Is it because they don't sit well with XP? If I use Windows own Farsi fonts, like times new roman, won't I have the same problem? But Windows own Farsi fonts are so awful, no serious Farsi writer would ever use them.

    Regards,

    distraught

Post back the BSOD error code and also go into admin tasks and check the event logs - applications for the errors ....usually a link to $MS for the problem that occurs.:)

    Hi,

The message I get on the blue screen of death is:

The problem seems to be caused by the following file:
    win32K.sys

    page_fault_IN_NONPAGED_Area

if problem continues, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or saoftware. disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.

    Win32.sys_address BF8B714B base at BF800000, Datestamp 43446a58

of course the number is different each time. And I have not had a new hardware added since I bought the computer one year ago. I did not have this problem with my previous computer which was exactly the same type of desktop but a bit older.

    Thanks

Let's try this ....click on my computer ...right click on the c drive ...properties ...tools and click on error checking ...check both boxes and ok out ...you will need to restart computer ....post back when done.
